Demetria is a six-piece Symphonic Metal band featuring drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and a dual male/female vocal line. Our project was born with a crystal-clear, ambitious vision in mind: to take the impact and energy of symphonic metal and blend them seamlessly with the sci-fi universe. We want our music to be more than just a sequence of songs—we want it to sound, in every way, like the soundtrack to a film set in deep space. Our sound combines the classic ingredients of the genre—titanium-heavy guitar riffs, a massive rhythm section, and majestic orchestrations—with modern, unmistakably futuristic elements. To achieve this, we draw direct inspiration from the iconic sci-fi classics and blockbusters that shaped cinema history: the epic quest for exploration and sense of wonder of Star Trek, the dystopian atmospheres and analog synths of Blade Runner, the claustrophobic solitude of Alien, and the grand, dramatic orchestrations of Interstellar. To transport listeners straight onto the bridge of a starship or the surface of an unexplored planet, we obsess over every detail. Beyond the classical symphonic foundation, we enrich our tracks with cutting-edge synthesizers, custom sound design, and ambient effects typical of science fiction cinema. The pulse of a sonar, the breathing of the cosmic void, or the hum of a starship engine become true musical instruments integrated into each track. Guiding this journey are our two vocalists, male and female. Their constant interplay allows us to build a dynamic narrative where open, melodic passages alternate with far darker, more aggressive moments—a perfect reflection of the dangers lurking in the unknown. With six members on board, each brings a crucial texture to build a unique, three-dimensional atmosphere.
