Francesca began playing the recorder at a young age but dropped out of the Conservatory to focus on electronics. However, she never abandoned her musical activities and continued playing musical instruments, writing and arranging music and working as a sound engineer. She graduated in Electronic Engineering and earned a PhD in Information and Communications Technologies at the University of Rome "Sapienza". She has published several articles on 3D audio techniques, which she has also experimented with her music (binaural and Ambisonics techniques). She earned a degree in Sound and Music Technology in 2009 (Saint Louis College of Music). Between 1998 and 2008, she released some albums as a one-woman band under various stage names, collaborated with other artists, and composed soundtracks for naturalistic documentaries. In 2009, she decided to retire from the music scene to devote herself to work as an electronic engineer. She returned in 2022 with the solo album "In Scientia Egeriae". In 2024, she started the "Operation Moonchild" project, a tribute to Bruce Dickinson, alongside the work on her new solo album "The Ruins of Galeria" and a collaboration with the progressive metal band The Holy Dark (Tampa, FL), composing and arranging new songs for the band’s new album. In 2025, she resumed her live activities as a musician after 16 years of silence. During her shows, she introduces martial arts elements such as the flankirovka with the Cossack sword, wrestling, and Taekwondo-style forms. Since 2026, she supports the band Mavit (Rome, Italy) as keyboardist and sound designer. Her music ranges from neo-folk to metal.
