Antonio Lepore
London, United Kingdom | Alternative rock
Antonio Lepore is a London-based singer-songwriter, originally from Piombino, a small coastal town in Tuscany by the Mediterranean Sea, where his journey began. Born in 1980, he grew up surrounded by the colours and sounds of the Tuscan coast. At six, he began studying piano at the Conservatory in Tuscany, spending five years in classical training before discovering the guitar—an instrument that would define his musical identity. Inspired by 90s American grunge and rock—bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden—he started playing guitar at thirteen, forming his first bands and performing locally. After high school, Antonio moved to Rome, where he worked as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in several bands. His most notable project there was ANTIMA, which gained national recognition, toured across Italy, and released several recordings. In 2006, he moved to London, continuing as a solo artist while performing across the city’s live music scene. Influences such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and Nick Drake shaped his songwriting. In 2013, he co-founded **Jesus, John & Whitney**, releasing the EP *Jesus, John & Whitney* (2017), the EP *Come Back Into the Room* (2018), and the album *Olmo* (2019), marking a raw and important creative chapter. He released his solo debut *Family* in 2012, followed by *Rise And Lie* (2020) and *When The Hands Meet The Air* (2023). Music is life, and life is music. For Antonio, it always has been—and always will be.
