The project originated from the meeting of Giuseppe and Carlo during their studies in audio engineering. In September 2023, following two years of shared academic training and mutual professional esteem, their strong desire to collaborate—combined with a deep musical synergy—led to the creation of a project that merges their diverse passions: modern metal, synthwave, the directness and refined production of pop music, and the psychological depths of horror and the world of dreams. These initial discussions and creative experiments soon evolved into a clear vision: the creation of a concept. Their objective was to exorcise fears through musical storytelling, all set within a dreamscape where the subconscious takes command. Once the vision was defined, the name followed naturally: Tales of Oneira. A meticulous search for the right collaborators among trusted friends and long-time acquaintances followed, leading to the final consolidation of the band's lineup. The early months of 2024 were dedicated to refining their debut EP, which was subsequently recorded and released in November 2024. This was followed by a promotional tour across Northern Italy, culminating in a performance at the prestigious Ariston Theatre in Sanremo as national finalists for the Sanremo Rock competition (where they secured fourth place). Currently, the band is focused on finalizing their new studio album—with the first singles scheduled for release in late spring 2026—while performing live sets that offer an exclusive preview of their upcoming material.
